Haiti.

The 2010 Haitian earthquake was a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 Mw earthquake. Its epicentre was near Léogâne, approximately 25 km (16 miles) west of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. The earthquake occurred at 16:53 local time (21:53 UTC) on Tuesday, 12 January 2010,[4][5] at a depth of 13 km (8.1 miles). The United States Geological Survey recorded a series of at least 33 aftershocks, 14 of which were between magnitudes 5.0 and 5.9.[6] The International Red Cross estimated that about three million people were affected by the quake;[7] the Haitian Interior Minister, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé, anticipated on 15 January that the disaster would claim between 100,000 and 200,000 lives.[3]

The earthquake caused major damage to Port-au-Prince and the surrounding area. Many notable landmark buildings were significantly damaged or destroyed, including the Presidential Palace (President René Préval, who was in the building at the time, escaped injury), the National Assembly building, the Port-au-Prince Cathedral, and the main jail. Among those killed were the Archbishop of Port-au-Prince Monsignor Joseph Serge Miot,[8] Justice Minister Paul Denis and opposition leader Michel Gaillard.[9][10] The headquarters of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), located in the capital, collapsed, killing many, including the Mission's Chief, Hédi Annabi.[11][12]

Yes. Another major natural disaster that just snatched away more than 80 THOUSAND people's lives. INNOCENT people. Now, they lack of food, shelter and love. They're terrified and injured. To add some salt to their wounds, there's chaos everywhere. Gangsters are robbing/snatching food/ goods out of desperation. People squeezed onto overloaded ships just to leave that devastated place. And to make sure everything is under control, security guards straight away shoot whoever that robs/snatches/creates chaos.

Hence, anything to stay away from their destroyed home.

Many countries responded to appeals for humanitarian aid, pledging funds and despatching rescue and medical teams, engineers and support personnel. Communication systems, air, land, and sea transport facilities, hospitals, and electrical networks had been damaged by the earthquake, which hampered rescue and aid efforts; confusion over who was in charge, air traffic congestion, and problems with prioritisation of flights further complicated early relief work. Port-au-Prince's morgues were quickly overwhelmed; the Haitian government announced on 21 January that over 80,000 bodies had been buried in mass graves.[2] As rescues tailed off, supplies, medical care and sanitation became priorities. Delays in aid distribution led to angry appeals from aid workers and survivors, looting, and some violent scenes at aid distribution centres. Medical treatment was hampered by lack of power and shortages of equipment and medical supplies.

My heart literally went "THUMP!" when I saw this.
And this is only one out of more than 80,000 of the dead bodies.
Look at the shoulder part. The bones are obviously broken and they died just like that.

Even children have to suffer.

Dead bodies by the road.
Reminds me of SzeChuan earthquake.

He cried.
For both physical pain and the pain of losing people he loves.

Guess what's this.
Dead bodies being dumped into big grave hole.
Oh yes, those are BODIES.
HUMAN BODIES.

Due to the lack of doctors/ medical facilities, people have to suffer.

See how lucky are we? Everytime I think of them, I immediately stop complaining and start to treasure everything I have. Im blogging as they suffer. Im eating as they starve like hell. Im going to school as they're praying in desperation. Im talking while they're crying. Im complaining about my life while they are DYING to die along with their family members.

If I have the ability, I REALLY hope that I can help them in any form. Money, daily needs, counselling?? I dream to visit Africa one day to help the poor people there. But sister often laugh at my "naive" thinking. I'll prove her wrong. Somehow.=)

Cross country tomorrow. Changed my mind so Im going. Choir after that so no studying for me =D

Till then, BYE!
